Fall In Love With Your Mondays

by KavDaily | WinYourMondays

I’m one of the only people I know who actually enjoys Mondays. I don’t get Sunday Jitters and I don’t remember the last time I had the Monday blues, however I DO understand why some people don’t enjoy Mondays. I used to get the Monday blues all the time in high school. It’s a pretty bad feeling to dread the start of the week, and now that I love Mondays, I can’t imagine going back to that negative place. That’s why I wanted to put together a list of simple ways to enjoy Mondays. These are things that I do and things I’ve read or heard that other people do to beat the Monday blues!

Sometimes the smallest things can make a huge difference!

Skip Cocktails, Alcohol and Caffeine on Sunday

It can be tempting to hold on to the last hours of the weekend by sipping some wine or having cocktails with friends, but it can make your Mondays even more of a blur. Alcohol and caffeine both disrupt your sleep cycle, so stay away from them on Sunday. That way you can get a good night’s sleep and wake up feeling rested on Monday! Take Sunday to actually relax and wind down so you can have energy for the new week!

Create a Morning Routine You Love

Mornings (especially Monday mornings) are a lot more enjoyable if you have a routine you love waking up to. Or maybe you’d just like an extra half an hour to be leisurely on Monday mornings. Wake up earlier so you can make a cup of tea, read your favorite book or magazine or listen to a podcast and write down your schedule for the week ahead. Find a morning routine that you love, and it will make Mondays so much better!

Get Your Blood Flowing

Carrying on from the Miracle Morning, on the days I know I’m not able to get a workout in, I’ll always do a quick yoga session on Youtube (usually with my 7M Yoga Workout) This always makes me feel energized, happier, and ready to take on the day! I’ll look up videos such as “Yoga for energy” or “Yoga for productivity” to give my mind and body a boost.

Plan Something Fun for Monday After Work

Mondays are a lot better when you have something to look forward to at the end of the day! Plan to go for dinner with the girls, a fun workout class with your bestie, or a date night with your S.O. Your Monday will go by so much faster, and it’s good to stray from the norm of only planning fun things for later on in the week! We don’t take advantage of Monday outings enough!

Clean and Prep on the Weekend

Waking up on Monday to a spotless apartment, clean laundry and a full fridge makes the day so much less stressful! You won’t have to spend your Monday thinking about the groceries you need to get and how badly you need to clean your kitchen. Your weekend prep has a huge effect on how your Monday will go, so make sure to create a space you’re happy to come home to.

Think of Mondays as a Fresh Start

One of the reasons I love Mondays so much is I look at them as a fresh start! Mondays are the time to make new goals, plan your week, and get excited for what’s to come. There’s something about the start of a new week that makes me so pumped to jump out of bed in the morning. Take some time during your morning routine on Monday to write down goals you have for the week ahead.

Do Something That Makes You Feel Good

Add something special into every Monday! Maybe that means going to your favorite dim sum spot for lunch, picking up some flowers on the way home, splurging on your favorite latte in the morning, ordering takeout to eat while you watch your favorite Netflix show, doing your favorite workout class right when the workday finishes…you get the idea. Whatever makes you feel good, make sure to do it on Monday!

When you are living the best version of yourself, you inspire others to live the best versions of themselves.

Thanks As Always, Rekah.
