Time Hacks You Got To Try

by Rekah|HacksToLiveBy

Life can get busy. And if you’re not careful, proper time management can fall by the wayside. You can end up spending your time on things and people that aren’t at the top of your list. Allocating your time to the right things can make you feel more fulfilled, less stressed and on top of the world! Feeling like you have yourself put together is a great feeling, and when you’re juggling everything from your career to your health, relationships, hobbies, fitness and so on, it helps to feel like you’re in control of your life.

Get Into The Planning Culture

From work deadlines to fitness classes and date nights, it’s important to have your schedule laid out in one place. Invest in a pretty planner you’ll love opening up each day. I love book planners, but if you find an online planner that works well for you, that’s great, go for it!

Create a daily schedule each morning so you know exactly what’s on your to-do list. I write down everything from specific people I need to email to who I’m meeting for business, and everything else in between. Getting specific in your planner  will definitely help you manage your time!

Give Time To Important Tasks

Now that you have your schedule laid out, it’s time to set boundaries for how long you have to complete each task on your to do list. Without a set time frame (and block), it’s easy to get off track with distractions or give too much time to one task that’s not as important as others.

First, prioritize each task on your list from most urgent to the least, then give yourself a certain amount of time block to get each task done. Give your full attention to each of the tasks for the allotted time and you’ll see how much more you accomplish!

Use Waiting As Your Trump Card

Waiting can be such a waste of time, but sometimes it’s unavoidable. I’ve waited an hour for doctor’s appointments before, and I’m sure there was a good reason, but it doesn’t make up for the fact that an hour of my time was thrown down the drain! Instead of twiddling your thumbs in the waiting room, take advantage of that open window. Respond to emails, create social media posts, read up on recipes to make for dinner, or plan your child’s birthday party. There’s always something productive you can be doing while you wait, so make sure you make the best of your time!

A Little Bit Of Some Weekend Working

I can’t remember the last weekend where I didn’t do at least some form of work. Some might think it’s a crazy idea, but I actually really don’t mind it and it allows me to focus on other things during the coming week. If I have a lot of work to get done, instead of working late into Thursday or Friday night, I let myself go to a yoga class and do some little extra work on Saturday or Sunday. This helps by staying on top of things and allows me to have a flexible week ahead.

Spread You Time Wisely

This may be the most important tip of them all. Don’t waste your time on excess things that aren’t important and people who don’t make you feel like the best version of yourself. Give your time to your family, your best friends, or your significant other. Do activities that make you feel happy, strong and healthy and don’t prioritize things that suck the life out of you.

Spend time on things that make you a better, more fulfilled individual. Make time for self care and self love; see and talk to your family on a regular basis; make time for date nights and girls’ nights out. Your work is important, but don’t get so work-obsessed that you neglect the people and activities that light you up inside. Always give your time to these things and people.

It’s Okay To Say No…

At times, most of us don’t know how to give a ‘no’ for an answer thus, we end up filling our calendars with activities we don’t necessarily really plan on doing. It’s okay to say no when you’re overbooked and overworked. Commit only to things that make you happy and bring you joy. There will always be more opportunities and the right ones will always work out. Prioritize what’s important to you and say no to anything else! Time management is easy when you prioritize what’s important to you and have a system for getting things done!

Always, Rekah.

Hi! I'm Rekah and I believe in love, sunshine and happiness. My mission is to inspire you to make positive changes in your life, to love more, and to accept that happiness begins with yourself. Life is better than great and it’s yours, all for you, so show up everyday and make the choice to do what you love most! I believe time shouldn’t be a luxury. Through clear processes, simplified systems and rock-solid support in your business, you can have more time to focus on your zone of genius, family, friends, and play. I also believe that having a little extra help doesn’t make you any less of a business owner. In fact, that’s where true leadership emerges from. Extra help carves the way to extra time, time that you can spend on scaling your business, widening your impact and to 10x your authority. I'm a realistic, relaxed, cheerful and ready to tackle 'all what life has to offer' kind of woman. Always drawn to anything natural; Art, Literature,Culture and Lifestyle. KavDaily is a mix of different feels of life that we often find the need to quench our minds on. I'm always learning, trying, failing, dreaming big, enjoying but not worrying about the small stuff and above everything else, I embrace my imperfections because life's always better when you discover what you're really all about. I am a forward thinker and love creative thinking. I'll definitely be using this blog to organize my thoughts, feelings and views. Do try to keep up! ❤️ Dear potential advertisers, kavdaily accepts advertising from brands or services I love, see a synergy with, or would pay for myself.
